- Frame Composition:
- Shoot from waist/chest up with face centered
- Maintain consistent distance from camera (face should occupy 30-40% of frame height)
- Avoid extreme closeups or distant shots
- Lighting:
- Use diffused, front-facing lighting
- Eliminate shadows on face
- Avoid backlighting or mixed temperature lights
- Background:
- Solid color preferred (white/neutral recommended)
- No patterns/textures that distract from subject
- Look:
- Avoid glasses, high-collar shirts and accessories on or around the face
- Make sure long hair is tucked back into a bun and does not come around the face
Training Process
- Consent: Before providing a training image, you must record a consent video stating that you permit Avatario to use your likeness.
- Submission: Upload the image through the Avatario upload portal.
- Processing: Our system will process your image and generate a custom avatar.
- Typical generation time: 12-15 hours
- You'll receive an email notification when your avatar is ready
- Failed submissions will specify rejection reasons (facial obstructions, lighting inconsistencies)
- Integration: Once completed, the avatar will appear in the Custom Avatars section on your dashboard with a unique face_id that you can use for real-time lip-sync in your applications.
Best Practices
- Provide High-Quality Input: Better input images lead to better avatar quality
- Follow Guidelines Precisely: Skipping guidelines is the most common reason for rejection
- Test Thoroughly: After creation, test your avatar with various types of speech and content
- Consider Multiple Avatars: For different contexts or brand representations
